Can Expansion work on its own?
No. It connects to a compatible Powerwall 3 and uses that unit’s inverter and controls.
Does it increase how many appliances can run at once?
Expansion adds stored energy. The Powerwall 3 inverter determines AC output and which loads can run together.
How much storage would I have with one of each?
One Powerwall 3 plus one Expansion pack provides 27 kWh of nominal battery storage.
