With FPL, Duke Energy and Tampa Electric, extra power you send to the grid earns credit at the full retail rate. Other utilities credit it differently, so we design your system around your utility’s rules.

Is solar still worth it without the tax credit?
For a lot of Florida homes, yes. The 30% federal credit for buying a system ended with 2025. The reasons solar pays off here didn’t go anywhere:
- Strong sun, all year long
- Full retail credit for the power you send back with FPL, Duke Energy and Tampa Electric
- No Florida sales tax on qualifying solar equipment
- The value solar adds to your home isn’t counted in your property assessment
Rather not buy? With a lease or a solar subscription, the federal credit is still in play, because the company that owns the system claims it.
