The federal credit for buying solar has ended
If you buy a solar system, the 30% federal tax credit is gone. It covered systems installed through December 31, 2025. A system finished in 2026 does not qualify, even if you paid for it in 2025. Home batteries ended on the same date.
If you lease your system or sign up for a solar subscription, the company that owns the equipment can still claim a federal credit, and that savings can show up in your price.

What Florida still gives you
- No sales tax on solar. Florida exempts solar energy systems from sales tax, including batteries that are part of the solar system.
- No higher property taxes for adding it. The value solar adds to your home is fully excluded from your property tax assessment. That rule runs through 2037.
Numbers you can trust
Your proposal shows the real price of your system and how much power it will make for your home. We don’t pad it with incentives you might not get, so the numbers still hold up if the rules change again.
