Do I need a Powerwall to use this inverter?
No. Tesla Solar Inverter can serve a solar installation without a battery.
How is it different from Powerwall 3’s inverter?
This is a separate solar inverter with no battery inside. Powerwall 3 combines its solar inverter and battery in one unit.
Will solar alone power my home during an outage?
Grid-connected solar shuts down during a grid outage. Backup power requires a battery system and the controls that safely separate your home from the grid.
